About this facility

Adjacent to Route 202 and the Newark Pompton Turnpike, this Public Storage in Wayne, New Jersey, brings convenient self storage to a bustling commercial corridor along Route 23 and Route 202, which merge in the area. The location is also near the Newark Pompton Turnpike. With nearly 900 indoor units, this storage facility allows locals to imagine the possibilities of transforming an empty 10x10 foot unit into the ultimate outdoor gear closet for stowing camping, picnic, fishing, paddle boarding and cookout essentials all in one place. There are free carts loaned to customers, like at all Public Storage locations. Customers access the units via a key code and parking is free. There is a store on site that sells boxes, locks for storage units and other moving and packing supplies. A short drive from Manhattan, Wayne is a picturesque township in Northern New Jersey that stretches from Interstate 287 to the North and Interstate 80 and the Passaic River to the south. A former farming community, Wayne also served as a vacation retreat New Yorkers flocking to stay in bungalows along the area's rivers. Today, life in Wayne still means time spent on the water, especially at Packanack Lake, Pines Lake, Lions Head Lake, Tom's Lake and Pompton Lake. For residents who love history, tour Dey Mansion, the historic Georgian style home constructed between the 1740s and 1750s served as George Washington's headquarters during the American Revolution. For current locals who aren't lucky enough to live on an estate, a little extra room for storage may come in handy. Whether downsizing, remodeling or relocating, there are a variety of units as large as 10x30 to hold the contents of a home. For longtime residents and newcomers who love to shop, Wayne is home to the Toys "R" Us corporate headquarters and Willowbrook Mall, a two-level shopping center that is the fourth-largest mall in the state. To store your haul and to hide holiday toys from the kids, let a friendly employee at this Public Storage help determine whether an indoor 5x5 foot or 5x15 foot unit is best.

The girl who helped me was extremely helpful.

I would suggest public storage in Wayne NJ. The girl there really was extremely helpful. She really knows her job.

Polite people, always available

From the time that I called on a Sunday to now, all of the people that I have had to deal with have been polite and concerned for my needs (unit size). The person on the phone was perfect in finding me the best location. Tina, who worked with me at my location, was great in making sure that my unit was the size I needed. And the other day I returned a lock and I received copies of all the paperwork. This has been a great experience.
