About this facility

Public Storage in Capitol Hill combines cheap self storage units and excellent customer service, all in a convenient location to create a premium storage experience for local customers. On 13th Avenue between Pine Street and Pike Street, just north of Madison Street and a quick drive from Interstate 5, is where plenty of affordable storage units are waiting at this facility. Most of the storage rentals at this location are indoor storage units, which range from small storage lockers for individual use to large 10x30 storage units that are big enough to hold everything inside a five-bedroom home. Students living on campus at Seattle University or in a townhouse or apartment near Seattle Central College know that a little extra space can go a long way. Let a 5x10 storage unit hold boxes of books, an old desk chair or use it as a great place to park a few bicycles near either campus. New to the area and still waiting to find a new forever home near the Madrona neighborhood? Take the worry out of trying to figure out where to keep the family's belongings during the process with the help of a 10x20 storage unit, which can easily fit furniture from the living room, bedrooms, dining room and even the kitchen appliances. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes with a property manager who lives on site and the convenience of a rental office that is open 7 days a week and also sells assorted packing supplies. In an area filled with one-of-a-kind destinations and things to see, from the Jimi Hendrix Statue on Broadway to the serene Japanese Garden in Madison Park, and of course, Pike Place, the Space Needle and other notable Seattle attractions just a short drive away, Capitol Hill continues to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods near downtown Seattle.

Central location

The facility is clean and in a nice location, however it’s not very well designed inside. There are many pinch points in the hallways where they decided to squeeze extra tiny units in and they make it difficult to move large items in and out. I couldn’t even get one of the tools I needed to store in at all. As well, one of the two elevators was broken during move in which greatly impacts access to several floors.

Would recommend

The manager, Coquita, was very professional and courteous. She took the time to show me multiple units until we found the one that I thought would work best. Everything was explained thoroughly and she's been very responsive to follow-up calls for assistance. Would highly recommend her facility.

Look. Storage is storage.

Look. Storage is storage. The place is clean and feels safe. So, why the 5 star rating? That would be for the topnotch service I received from the young woman who helped. I'm not sure of her name at the moment... it could have started with a Q (?), but I remembered it long enough to sing her praises to your corporate office. These days customer service generally sucks, so I didn't have high expectations going in. However, I was treated with quick and personable (yet professional) service at the counter. I was in and out in no time and left in a better mood than when I arrived. And that's saying something. My advice? "GIVE HER A RAISE!". Good help is hard to come by and she's a keeper.

Capitol Hill Location

The manager Jeff was helpful and professional. Public Storage needs to update the facilities more. It's outdated and smelly.
